vhlth 414 - Introduction to Mental Health Disorders

Provide students with a basic foundation in major concepts of mental health for personal growth and workforce preparation. Mental health topics covered: Generalized Anxiety Disorder, major depressive disorder, Post-Traumatic tress disorder (PTSD), Adjustment Disorder, Attention Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder, and substance use disorder. Five (5) high school elective credits may be awarded if a student passes the course with a minimum grade of 70%.
